Responsibilities
Develop, review, and coordinate industrial security policy issuances in support of the DDI CL&S
Analyze and comment on policy documents from other DoD and federal agencies to identify and protect DoD industrial security equities
Provide analytical support for the review of industrial security letters that address national-level issues affecting DoD, non-DoD entities, and the broader defense industrial base
Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries and matters relating to industrial security within the CL&S portfolio
Represent DoD and DDI CL&S interests in interagency and industry forums, including participation in the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC) and other recurring DIB working group meetings
Facilitate stakeholder discussions, gather input, and contribute to the formulation of joint policy positions
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities across DIB stakeholders and recommend tailored mitigation strategies
Deliver security awareness training and compliance guidance to internal and external personnel to strengthen policy understanding and alignment
Attend and contribute to quarterly and ad hoc meetings with industrial security stakeholders across the defense enterprise
Provide detailed reporting and insights to senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement of DoD industrial security practices
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret / SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in security studies, public policy, political science, or a related discipline (master's preferred)
Five (5) years extensive directly relevant experience working with DoD security requirements or Federal Government Executive Agencies, including policy analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and coordination
Knowledge of national security, intelligence and Cl methods and procedures to develop and inform the development of security policy on issues not limited to but including Controlled Unclassified Information, Foreign Disclosure, management of classified national security information, Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Special Access Programs, the National Industrial Security Program, declassification, and records management
One (1) year of experience developing briefing materials and presenting to peers and senior leadership in areas including policy, strategy, oversight functions, capability gaps
Two (2) years of experience supporting senior DoD or officials as a staff and/or action officer
Two (2) year staff officer experience conducting research and analysis of DoD policy/guidance documents and legal decisions
