Responsibilities
Lead the engineering design and analysis of overhead and underground transmission lines, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE) and regulatory requirements
Conduct feasibility studies, route optimization, environmental assessments, and site evaluations for new and existing transmission projects
Utilize GIS tools and spatial data to support route planning and engineering design decisions
Develop detailed engineering packages, including drawings, specifications, and structural calculations for transmission line components
Perform advanced structural analysis using tools such as PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE to ensure system integrity, reliability, and safety
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, permitting authorities, and construction contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development within the team
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, staying abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory updates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required
8+ years of transmission line design experience, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Proficient in PLS-CADD and related transmission design software
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship
Preferred
PE (Professional Engineer) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification highly preferred
Prior experience in team leadership or technical management highly preferred
