Aktos is a seed-stage, Vertical SaaS Fintech startup seeking a Staff Platform Engineer who will play a key role in building the Operating System for the Credit Collections industry. The role involves maintaining AWS infrastructure, developing scalable backend features, and managing API/SFTP integrations.

Responsibilities

Maintaining our AWS infrastructure
Scalable & Maintainable Backend Feature Development [Python Experience is Required]
Scalable & Maintainable API/SFTP Integrations [Experience is Required]
Monitoring and troubleshooting Postgres DB (adding/removing indexes, partitioning/sharding)
Maintaining developer environments
Managing CI pipelines and runners
Setting up and managing alerting systems
Providing on-call support and guidance to other developers to triage issues

Required

5+ Years of Professional Software Development Experience
2+ Years of Professional SRE/DevOps Experience
Professional experience maintaining/enhancing Kubernetes cluster via IaaC
Professional experience with Python (2+ years required)
Strong fundamental understanding and usage of a RDBMS
In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with AWS
Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high quality code
Product intuition, user empathy, ability to make sound UX decisions
Strong work ethic, end-to-end ownership mentality

Preferred

Terraform experience preferred
Postgres preferred
