They are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to service the Mid-Hudson Valley region, responsible for performing inspections, diagnosing issues, and conducting repairs on heavy or compact equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, hydro-static, electrical, and engine systems
Conduct system rebuilds and overhauls as needed
Accurately complete work orders and maintain service records
Work collaboratively with the Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental departments to ensure timely repairs and support
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Required

5+ years of diesel mechanic experience working on heavy or compact equipment
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, hydro-static, electrical, and engine systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds

Preferred

Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Basic computer skills for diagnostics and reporting
