The Speech Therapist will provide essential therapy services to geriatric participants, focusing on communication and swallowing disorders by evaluating, diagnosing, and implementing treatment programs.

Responsibilities

Administers diagnostic tests and provides individualized treatment to Seen Health participants for a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment and neurological defects

Advises Seen Health IDT of test results and subsequently recommends and implements appropriate treatments

Monitors status of results, interprets those results, and collaborates with Seen Health IDT when altering treatment program

Serves as a clinical expert in specialized areas such as pediatric speech, traumatic brain injury, etc

Ensures compliance with TJC, federal, state, and local requirements

May participate in the development of department policies and procedures, and may develop protocols and treatment programs within specialized areas

Develops and presents in service programs in area of specialty

Documents participant progress; maintains accurate records

Demonstrates professional competence and rehabilitative techniques particular to the speech pathology field

Upholds Seen Health Policies and Procedures and applicable state, federal and local laws

Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively

Performs other duties as assigned
