They are seeking a part-time Finance Accounts Receivable/Payables Clerk responsible for performing accounts receivable and payable activities to support the City’s financial operations, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments to vendors.

Responsibilities
Prepare accounts receivable invoices for general funds owed to the City
Create and issue special assessment invoices for charges that may be applied to property tax bills
Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of city records and customer balances
Distribute invoices to city departments via an electronic approval system
Remit payment to city vendors with use of city p-card via phone and online payment
Assist with the administration of the city procurement card process
Regularly assist with and/or perform weekly accounts payable payment process via check and EFT
Assist and support Accounts Payable Coordinator with related duties as necessary
General accounting assistance as needed, including preparation and filing of routine journal entries
Provide temporary support across other Finance Department functions as needed
Adhere to departmental and city policies and procedures
Adheres to schedule in a timely and punctual manner
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's Preferred)
Vocational/Technical training in Accounting/Finance
Two years' experience in accounting/bookkeeping
A combination of the above substituting two years' experience in education
