Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and directing the architectural metals portion of our projects being constructed, mainly staircases and railings for the projects
Responsible for reviewing the project in-depth to schedule and oversee the fabrication and installation of our work
Responsible for coordinating field workers
Responsible for coordinating materials and equipment for installation
Responsible for reading, understanding and communicating structural, architectural and shop drawings with others
Responsible for project field measurements and verification of such measurements
Manage project changes, document submittals, and RFI’s
Proficiency in the use of computers for: Excel spreadsheets, E-mail and Internet
Qualification
Required
Proven past experience in managing miscellaneous, decorative metal fabrication and installation of such projects
Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
Knowledge of building codes and standards of misc. metals, stairs & railings
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, general contractors, shop & field team members
Ability to meet quality, safety and productivity requirements
Minimum 1 year as Project Lead in the field of metal work for construction of buildings
Must be able to travel in the Central United States on occasion
Excellent mathematical skills
Excellent written and verbal communications
Proficiency in the use of computers for: Excel spreadsheets, E-mail and Internet
