RTP Research Fellow – Digital Pathology
Mayo Clinic is seeking a Digital Pathology Research Fellow to advance the next generation of pathology practice through innovative research and software development. The role involves collaborating with AI scientists and pathologists to design and execute research projects, as well as developing impactful AI tools for clinical applications.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development of impactful software tools and AI: Work with AI scientists and programmers to utilize your expertise in morphologic interpretation and pathology reporting to develop, implement, and evaluate vision and multimodal transformers and task-specific pathology models
Lead ambitious research: Design and execute novel research projects in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of AI scientists, data scientists and engineers and pathologists
Drive growth and visibility: Help shape the direction and culture of MCDP as a new and expanding team. You’ll play a key role in our success through your pathology expertise, publications, and strategic promotion of our work
Qualification
Required
Pathology-trained fellow
Clinical expertise in pathology
Enthusiasm for AI
Scientific curiosity
Desire for real-world impact
Experience in developing impactful software tools and AI
Ability to work with AI scientists and programmers
Expertise in morphologic interpretation and pathology reporting
Experience in designing and executing novel research projects
Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of AI scientists, data scientists, engineers, and pathologists
Ability to shape the direction and culture of a new and expanding team
Strong publication record
