Accounting Clerk II - Financial Services
University of Central Oklahoma is seeking an Accounting Clerk II to perform multiple accounting and budgeting support functions. The role involves preparing budgetary documents, issuing invoices, reconciling reports, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions.

Responsibilities
Performs routine accounting operations such as verifying and correcting accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy
Manages PCard corrections, sends items to surplus and off-site storage, maintains office supplies inventory, maintains organizational events, Works with OMES PeopleSoft, OST and Banner Financial systems
Creates journal entries
Back up for the following job duties: printing checks, complete State transfers and checks cash balances, wire payments and processes cancellations of warrants and stop payments
Assists the Accounting team in reconciling and other accounting duties
Assists student worker with tasks
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor
Qualification
Required
General education or vocational training and 3+ years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Calm demeanor, critical thinking skills
Beyond basic computer skill level
Knowledge of debits and credits
Ability to keep ledgers and accurately file documents
Ability to operate 10-key calculator and basic typing skills
Good customer service and communication skills
Ability to accurately file documents
Good mathematical and organizational skills needed
Preferred
Accounting or bookkeeping experience
State of Oklahoma PeopleSoft experience
Experience with Excel functions
