InternNAMI Southern Nevada is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by mental health conditions through education, advocacy, and support. They are seeking passionate and driven interns to join their team as Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) to gain valuable experience in the mental health nonprofit space while completing the required hours for state certification. Interns will assist with community presentations, provide peer support, and contribute to mental health campaigns.

Responsibilities
Assist with community presentations
Share mental health resources
Promote awareness and reduce stigma
Participate in helpline/resource line operations
Provide peer-to-peer support and mentorship
Facilitate Support Groups
Support community events and tabling
Contribute to mental health campaigns
Assist with front office operations and social media engagement
Complete a final project that reflects their personal interests and goals while supporting NAMI’s mission
Qualification
Required
Pursuing state certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS)
Completion (or enrollment in) the state-required 40-hour PRSS training course
Ability to commit to 500 hours of internship
Availability for 8-Month Track: 16 hours per week or 1-Year Track: 10 hours per week
