Baptist Health System KY & IN is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures and maintain accurate records. The role involves quality control, patient monitoring, and effective communication with healthcare staff to ensure exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic procedures using gamma cameras, assay instruments, and related equipment with limited supervision
Gather patient histories, prepare documentation, and maintain accurate records to support quality imaging and interpretation
Maintain quality control on all assigned instruments
Adhere to radiation safety standards (ALARA)
Manipulate imaging data to obtain diagnostic information
Properly position and monitor patients during procedures
Prepare and administer radionuclides under physician direction
Ensure all equipment is used according to established protocols
Exhibit professional conduct, maintain department cleanliness, and adhere to dress code and safety standards
Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare staff
Transport patients when needed
Participate in training activities
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Nuclear Medicine TechnologyKBMIRT certificationNMTCB certificationARRT certificationBCLS certification

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
KBMIRT at time of hire
NMTCB and/or ARRT within 90 days of hire
Current BCLS certification within 90 days of hire
