Responsibilities

Define design requirements based on high level product specifications

Manage industrial design activities and perform feasibility studies to meet project requirements

Create and revise engineering specifications

Design mechanical components that meet defined engineering specifications

Define validation test standards and manage component-level testing and verify overall system performance

Design of individual components from concept. Produce 3D CAD models and drawings, incorporating critical dimensions and quality control callouts

Coordinate with tooling vendors to ensure designs meet tooling requirements

Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles, integrating feedback from vendors

Manage mechanical assembly documentation, ensuring compliance with quality control verification specifications for inspection

Develop and maintain necessary manufacturing instructions

Perform other duties as assigned
