Responsibilities
Ensure that photonic integrated circuit performance requirements are met at the system level
Interact with design, test, controls, reliability, and manufacturing to define calibration methods and performance screens
Perform statistical data analysis on large data sets to characterize and improve the product
Support quality analysis and evaluation of development, proto, and pilot units
Drive improvements in product quality during the pilot ramp
Qualification
Required
M.S. degree + 5+ years' experience or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (electronics, electro-optics), Materials Science, Photonics, or Physics (optics, semiconductors) + 2+ years' experience in photonic integration
Experience with III-V or related optoelectronic device physics and design. Working knowledge of device fabrication, materials, and epi is desirable
Working knowledge of optical and coherent signal test methods
Aptitude to work with a large body of data, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to a diverse audience
Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
