Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable data architectures and pipelines using Snowflake and cloud technologies
Design and implement data modeling, including dimensional modeling (Kimball) and Data Vault 2.0 methodologies
Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements
Create and manage reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights to the team and leadership
Utilize SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and process automation
Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and data engineering best practices to ensure our systems are on the cutting edge
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on building robust data solutions
3+ years in a leadership or architecture role
Strong proficiency in Snowflake data warehouse development, architecture and performance tuning
Expertise in SQL, ETL, Python and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, DT or Matillion
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques (Kimball, Data Vault 2.0), and architecture best practices
5+ year of experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP and direct experience integrating cloud services into data pipelines
Hands-on experience with DataOps and infrastructure-as-code techniques
Preferred
Snowflake certification is a nice-to-have but not mandatory
Familiarity with real-time data streaming tools such as Kafka is a plus
