Assistant Project Manager - Design/Build opportunity
Wainwright Talent Partners is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team. The role involves assisting the Project Manager in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Maintain Procore records and logs including drawings, sketches, contracts, etc
Implement and track of RFQ and bid packages to subcontractors and vendors
Negotiate contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and other project costs
Update project schedule and 3-week look ahead schedule
Prepare and archive meeting minutes
Conduct site visits
Compose take-offs and estimates
Conduct subcontractor and owner meetings
Prepare and deliver close outs and owners manuals
Coordinate BIM activities with architect and subcontractors
Discuss and report follow-ups with project team, clients, and subcontractors /vendors
Mentor team members
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree (or working toward) in Construction Management or associated field or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills
Work well as part of a team to achieve a shared goal or outcome in an effective way
Preferred
Entry level construction experience
Emerging knowledge of principles of project management for building, engineering and architecture as related to design and construction
Familiarity with computers and internet usage
Emerging proficiency with Excel, MS Project, and Procore
