Responsibilities
Provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems
Provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support
Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness
Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity
Support the full life cycle of MySQL databases from implementation, database management and maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvements, and automation
Ensure the database infrastructure meets the reliability, scalability, and SLA requirements
Coach and mentor other team members regarding the database administration, migration and support activities
Qualification
Required
3 to 5+ years of experience in Database Administration
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Experience with Oracle Database Administration support for production systems
Experience providing DBA services to application development teams
Experience with database design, database generation, coding, and database production support
Ability to provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness
Experience supporting the full life cycle of MySQL databases
Experience with database management and maintenance
Experience with troubleshooting and process improvements
Experience with automation to ensure database infrastructure meets reliability, scalability, and SLA requirements
Experience coaching and mentoring team members regarding database administration, migration, and support activities
Cloud experience
Willingness to be on-call and work on weekends and after hours as needed
Ability to work with minimal oversight and be a self-starter
Preferred
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience
Oracle OCI Autonomous Database (ADB) experience
