Responsibilities

Analyze, troubleshoot, document and optimize SQL Databases, ETL processes

Investigate, improve, and maintain data quality

Document database processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing

Leverage other Azure resources such as Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps to manage ETL tasks

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, and data analysts to integrate and optimize database solutions within the Microsoft stack

Monitor database performance, implement performance tuning, and ensure data security and integrity

Required

Excellent critical thinking skills, data curious and attention to detail

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 3 year's of data analyst or data engineering role

Proven experience as an SQL Developer, specifically with T-SQL

Solid understanding of database design principles, indexing, and normalization

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred

Firsthand experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure services preferred

Experience with database migration projects is a plus

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are advantageous
