Responsibilities
Oversees and assists with the overall writing of the paper
Meets weekly with section editors to discuss progress of the paper
Attends weekly general staff meetings
Maintains weekly-posted office hours in *The Xavierite* office. (6 hours per week)
Meets and works with Section correspondents in generating story ideas
Trains Section correspondents on InDesign and Photoshop
Will upload final PDF copy of the paper to Park Press’ FTP if Editor in Chief is unable to
Meets weekly with Xavierite webmasters to ensure that website has up to date information
Meets weekly with Assistant Director of Campus Life: Student Media to discuss progress on the paper
Writes one article per issue
Qualification
Required
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
Preferred
Experience in journalism, communication, or English preferred
