They are seeking a Director to lead their U.S. Power operations, focusing on strategic business development, project execution, and team leadership to enhance their Power capabilities in the U.S. market.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategy to grow and enhance Aecon’s Power capabilities in the U.S. market
Accountable for leading strategic business development activities, formulating solutions to address client challenges while also pursuing new projects and opportunities with new and existing clients
Responsible for the overall leadership and execution of existing projects to ensure operations are executed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
Accountable for the development and execution of the annual business plan for Aecon Power U.S
Assist in the establishment and ensure compliance of operational short-term and long-term goals with overall organizational objectives
Participate in the development of long-term strategy for Aecon Power in the U.S. market
Responsible for the leadership, development and retention of their team
Influence, motivate and inform employees about the organizational strategy and progress
Qualification
Required
Proven leadership, business development and operational experience in the Power industry in the U.S. at a similar level (transmission, renewables, generation, and large scale substation)
Experience in successfully building and scaling a Power construction operation, safely and profitably
Well established client relationships with major U.S. power utilities
Definitive focus on sustaining work with a demonstrated track record of building and managing a team and executing multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to manage the operational and financial performance of a business unit
Strong connections, relationships and professional presence in the industry with clients
Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, public officials, team, peers and the general public
Strong understanding of the drivers in the industry in the U.S. (i.e business trends, regulatory, economic, and political)
Experience in assessing and negotiating contracts
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a strategic mindset and problem-solving ability
A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace
Ability to travel extensively across the U.S
