Responsibilities
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and the principles of Radiologic and Computerized Axial Tomography for the purpose of detecting pathology
Regulates the equipment used to produce and process images
Assists in the daily operation of the CT and Radiology department
Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Demonstrates commitment to patient safety initiatives including patient falls, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products
Provides appropriate patient/family education, per department and hospital policy and procedures
Qualification
Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
(RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
