Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations at UNLV’s fMRI facility including data collection, analysis, and maintenance of the lab’s equipment and resources
Serve as the primary point of contact for patient interaction in the facility
Recruit, screen and schedule participants for research projects
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and IRB protocols
Oversee the lab’s website
Manage lab finances and budget
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in fMRI techniques and research procedures
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field from an accredited school of radiology as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
3 – 5 years of experience in a clinical MRI position
A valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography
State of Nevada License in Radiology
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Training in the operation of MRI equipment and the interpretation of images
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in the radiology field
Experience operating fMRI equipment
Experience with research protocols and IRB procedures
Experience supervising technologists and/or administrative staff
