JANUS Research Group is seeking a Database Team Lead to support the IT Services and Support requirements for the U.S. Army. The role involves deploying and managing databases, ensuring compliance with security standards, and maintaining database environments to meet performance metrics.

Responsibilities

Deploying and managing databases supporting customer applications
Engineering and administering database environments at PL ALTESS
Architecting infrastructure
Installing and configuring database SW products
Database configuration in Oracle, Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL), Post Gre SQL) POSTGRES, My Structured Query Language (MYSQL) and cloud database environments
Maintaining the database environments to meet availability and performance standards
Assisting in the scheduling of deployment activity as well as new installations databases
Developing security standards and ensuring all databases meet ALTESS and ARMY security requirements
Development and maintenance of database monitoring and administrative dashboards
Performing a Security Readiness Review (SRR) and documenting the SRR findings in a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) document

Required

Experience in database administration and architecture
Five or more years' experience with Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment
Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, POSTGRES, MYSQL and cloud database environments is required
Knowledge of database administration responsibilities
Knowledge of Python and PowerShell is a plus
All positions require the ability to relate to customers in a professional manner
Have an active DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred

Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IAVM
