MRI Technologist I
Cleveland Clinic’s Euclid Hospital is a community-based facility providing top-quality patient care. The MRI Technologist I will utilize MRI scanners to capture images for patient diagnosis, ensuring patient comfort and safety while performing MRI procedures and maintaining equipment functionality.

Responsibilities
Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedure
Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination
Verify and validate the patient screening safety form
Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA
Perform venipunctures
Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment and exams
Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam
Assist with scheduling patients
Administer proper contrast related to patient having MRI exam
Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS
Complete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork
Immediately report any malfunctions, observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or call for service
Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility
Process billing via RIS
Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing
OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways
Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities
