Mid LevelKLM Careers is seeking a professional for the position of Health and Safety Coordinator at its mining operation. The role focuses on workplace safety, compliance with procedures and MSHA regulations, and involves developing safety policies and conducting risk assessments.

Responsibilities
Focus on workplace safety and compliance of procedures and MSHA regulations
Develop, implement, and improve safety policies, procedures, and programs as needed
Provide safety training & education
Conduct risk assessments
Inspect work environments underground and on the surface
Investigate accidents
Accompany MSHA on quarterly inspections or other site visits
Evaluate and recommend control measures to minimize risk
Stay informed of MSHA regulations along with other federal, state, and local H&S regulations
Schedule annual required physicals and hearing tests
Assist with weekly and monthly H&S reporting
Maintain accurate and organized records of training, inspections, investigations, and other required records
Work with all departments of the business to promote a positive safety culture
Other reasonable duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and stay organized
Ability to use computer for written communication, tracking, and submitting reports
Experience in workplace safety and compliance of procedures and MSHA regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skill in written and verbal communication (in English)
Legally authorized to work in the US
Preferred
Industry experience preferred
MSHA Trainer Certification preferred
