Business Development Manager Florida

Mircom Group of Companies is North America’s largest independent designer, manufacturer and distributor of intelligent building and life safety solutions. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding market share in central and northern Florida by executing a strategic sales plan, building relationships, and achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

Execute Mircom’s strategic plans, while upholding Mircom’s values at all times
Exceed the territory’s revenue and customer targets
Conduct lunch & learns to promote Mircom products to the A&E community ensuring specifications and visibility
Engage with electrical contractors to convert them to self-performing installations or provide leads to ESDs
Uncover project opportunities via Construct connect, networking and other sources
Provide quotations and value engineering to assist ESDs in securing projects
Conduct joint sales calls with ESDs to meet developers, management companies and end-users
Build and maintain relationships across the market and within vertical markets to expand market share
Attend and participate in trade association meetings and trade shows

Required

College Diploma or University Degree preferred
2 to 5 years experience in sales or a related field
2+ years of experience in the Fire/Security industry is an asset
Self-motivator with proven organizational track record
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of PC based applications (Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel)
Possess a current valid driver's license
Strong problem solver with a creative, solution-oriented approach
Technically proficient to review/discuss project plans
Strong relationship management skills
Well developed sales strategies and operational execution
Adaptability and responsiveness to market changes and shifting dynamics
Must already reside within the northern or central Florida area
Willingness to travel within the territory, including some overnight and air travel

Preferred

Working knowledge of D365 would be an asset
Hold a NICET certification is a bonus
