Responsibilities

Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a specific technical area
Leads projects as assigned by engineering manager
Knowledge and experience with materials analysis methods including SEM, EBSD and XRD
Documents work effectively and presents results to internal cross functional groups
Develops and maintains procedures, work instructions, and training materials to support technical area
Works cross functionally on projects and initiatives
Applies problem solving, SPC, and other engineering fundamentals to support investigations
Supports continuous improvement initiatives, including safety and environmental improvements
Supports technical discussions with suppliers and customers in specific technical area of focus
Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution
Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering field or equivalent
Broad knowledge of technical focus area
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy required
Knowledge and experience with materials analysis methods including SEM, EBSD and XRD

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process

Preferred

Knowledge of structured problem solving, SPC, lean principles, and FMEA preferred
