Responsibilities
Provide in-person interpreting services in a variety of settings
Help individuals overcome language barriers in healthcare, education, legal services, and more
Qualification
Required
Must be fluent in English and at least one other language
If you lack formal interpreter training, you'll be required to pass a language assessment
Must have valid U.S. work authorization (I-9 eligibility)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Willing and able to complete a background check and drug screening
For medical assignments, must provide up-to-date vaccination records: MMR, Varicella, COVID-19, TB test, Flu shot
Primarily available for in-person appointments in Maine
Preferred
Prior interpreting experience or training is a plus, but not required
