Prisma Health is dedicated to inspiring health and serving communities with compassion. They are seeking a Polysomnography Technologist to perform basic polysomnographic testing procedures and initiate sleep-related therapies in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

Performs sleep studies in accordance with physician's order, departmental policy and Medical Director's guidelines

Troubleshoots and repairs equipment within realm of knowledge

Initiates, monitors and performs quality (artifact free) sleep studies

Communicates with internal personnel regarding patient, equipment and other issues

Obtains all required patient information and consent prior to performing sleep studies

Serves as a preceptor for students

Adheres to department time and attendance standards and to infection control practices

Performs other duties as needed

RPSGT credentialLicensed Polysomnographic TechnologistBLS certificationPolysomnographic testingMicrosoft OfficeMathematical skillsCommunication skills

Required

Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sleep program and/or possess RPSGT credential by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)

Licensed Polysomnographic Technologist in the state of Tennessee

Registered through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)

BLS

Skills necessary to treat adolescent, adult and geriatric patient

Computer literate with complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and data entry skills

Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

Mathematical skills
