Responsibilities
Lead and oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements across corporate, partnership, and individual entities
Provide technical expertise in corporate tax provisions, including review and planning for PEG-owned operating company partnerships
Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and other complex tax matters
Manage multiple client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor while delivering excellent service
Supervise, coach, and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and supporting a collaborative team culture
Conduct and oversee advanced tax research, ensuring compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations, including expertise in Sections 300, 700, and 1500
Utilize tax technology tools to improve processes and enhance client outcomes
Stay current with industry changes, tax legislation, and emerging best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
CPA required
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend
Strong technical expertise in general tax principles, with advanced knowledge of IRC Sections 300, 700, and 1500
Experience reviewing corporate tax provisions and working with PEG-owned operating company partnerships
Proven ability to manage and grow strong client relationships
Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, engagement management, and leadership
Strong writing, communication, and tax research skills
Preferred
Experience with corporate and partnership acquisitions/dispositions strongly preferred
Master's in Taxation or LLM is a plus
Familiarity with tax technology platforms; advanced proficiency is a plus
