The Event Server role is essential to the success of the Food & Beverage + Events program, providing outstanding service and drink experiences for members and guests, while embodying the hospitality and grace of the NeueHouse brand.

Responsibilities

Consistently provide thoughtful and personal service to develop a rapport with members and guests

Ensure the event area is set and ready for service in accordance with run of show stipulated on event function sheet provided by the event production team

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the food and beverage catering display

Return all event supplies to clean to their proper locations immediately following the event

Maintain thorough working knowledge of menus and be able to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner

Proficient use of POS for ordering and billing purposes

Execution of the order of service in a timely and accurate manner with the goal of creating memorable service

Execute the entire cycle of service thoroughly and efficiently: from greeting to order taking to preparation to assembling to processing payment

Prepare all food and beverages to the standards of NeueHouse

Thorough working knowledge of all beverages: coffee/tea/non-alcoholic/wines/beers/spirits

Communicating with prep kitchen to ensure areas are always fully stocked with food and beverage items, alerting the purchaser when running low on a particular item

Maintain cleanliness of areas, including all surfaces and equipment

Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Develop and coordinate the organization of various areas of the event supplies storage facilities

Competency in conversing with members, guests, and potential members regarding NeueHouse and our various exhibitions, programs, pricing structure, and amenities
