They are seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist in the preparation and delivery of medications, participate in medication reconciliation, and provide patient education under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Unit dose cart filling from daily report and updates

Stocking medications from wholesaler in appropriate areas in pharmacy

Restocking ADC cabinets on Nursing Units twice daily

IV admixture preparation

Rounding on ICU patients with Clinical Pharmacist

Providing medication reconciliation under the supervision of clinical pharmacist

Provision of medication education in one on one or group education settings

Adding Adverse drug reactions to reporting system

Preparing new drug writeups for Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee

Assist in the delivery of medications to various nursing units and offsite locations such as Outpatient Cancer Treatment Center, Corning Surgical Center in Big Flats

Other duties as assigned
