Responsibilities
Support, develop, and maintain key elements of the QMS
Collect/analyze/execute QMS data
Participate in Internal QMS audits
Participate in Continuous Improvement teams
Participate and/or lead root cause analysis & corrective action teams
Define & document acceptance criteria
Work with supply chain and evaluate & measure supplier performance
Interpret customer and internal quality requirements and develop quality plans to ensure conformance
Represent Quality in the New Product Development Process as required
Qualification
Required
The QE must possess a BS degree in a technical discipline
Minimum three years of previous experience in quality concepts, metrics and problem-solving methodologies; including supplier quality, manufacturing quality, internal auditing, SPC, Root Cause analysis, and COPQ reduction
Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite in the generation of professional documents and reports
Use of Minitab or equivalent statistical software packages a must
Fundamental understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques
Basic knowledge in metrology techniques and outputs
Good oral & written communication skills
Team focused with the ability to participate in and/or lead cross-functional teams
Familiarity with basic Quality Management System standards such as ISO 9001 or AS 9100
Basic knowledge with Process Control tools, and statistical techniques
Preferred
Certification to a Quality discipline is preferred
Lean/six-sigma experience preferred
