Structural Engineer - EIT
Garver is an employee-owned engineering firm focused on various services including water and wastewater. The Structural Engineer - EIT will develop structural designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities and associated infrastructure while collaborating with project teams and performing quality reviews.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Produce structural designs for clarifiers, process basins, filters, admin buildings, pump stations, lift stations, tanks, vaults, retaining walls, and other ancillary structures associated with water and wastewater infrastructure projects
Complete structural design calculations for concrete, steel, and masonry
Oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models
Coordinate with geotechnical subconsultants
Support construction projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited program
3-5 structural design experience
Engineer In Training Certification (EIT)
Technical competence in structural engineering design with concrete, masonry, and structural steel
Preferred
Master's degree in civil or structural engineering
Understanding of the structural complexities associated with water and wastewater treatment equipment
Familiarity with Autodesk Revit
Experience using Bluebeam
Experience working with a diverse disciplinary team, including process, civil, building mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control disciplines
A record of active participation in local professional organizations
