Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance, assist in maintenance repairs to a wide variety of equipment, building, and general housekeeping

Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe conditions. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in the building

Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due

Report defects, damages and malfunctions of any kind to the supervising authority

Run errands as needed

Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties

Effectively complete all tasks as assigned by the supervising manager

Various other duties as required by the department

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualified Apprentices must be enrolled in a Mechatronics, Precision Machining and Automation Technology, Tool and Die, Welding or other qualified Skilled Trade program for 2 year degree or certificate

Thoroughness

Ability to operate basic tools and equipment related to the maintenance and repair of equipment and machines

Time Management

Familiarity with automotive manufacturing

Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks required

Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees
