Sr. SCADA Engineer (DSP) [Hybrid]
EDF Power Solutions North America is a company focused on delivering renewable solutions for a sustainable energy future. The Sr. SCADA Engineer will be a key resource in the solar/PV project engineering, responsible for the design, development, and management of SCADA and DAS systems for electric grid monitoring and control. This role also involves leading technical troubleshooting efforts and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring safety standards are upheld during project execution.

Responsibilities
SCADA System Design Engineering: Identify and develop client or owner requirements, reconcile design constraints, conduct functional analysis, develop conceptual designs, and generate specifications/scope of work packages for vendors and system integrators. Develop engineering studies, plans, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments. Manage, control, and document system configurations, especially regarding the EPC process milestones and operations and maintenance (O&M) plans
SCADA Project Management: Support the execution of projects having significant SCADA scope by performing engineering design and product literature reviews; and managing and controlling documentation of system baselines, the allocated technical scope of work, and test and evaluation plans. Facilitate the implementation of interconnection agreements, including system control schemes, remote network access, telemetry exchange via industrial communications protocols, and the associated testing process procedures. Lead the technical relationships with SCADA/ICS vendors. Maintain project timelines and budgets
Technical Troubleshooting: Lead, guide, or coordinate the technical troubleshooting efforts for cross‑functional SCADA implementations throughout the project lifecycle; resolve issues or mitigate risks with the electrical or control system design, installation, and interface that arise at the project sites during construction
SCADA Development and Execution Process Management: Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve SCADA/ICS process documentation including procedures and historical project plans. Establish and maintain power system SCADA/ICS design standards compliant with or exceeding industry practices or regulations
SCADA Engineering Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor junior SCADA Engineers. Train the Design Engineering and Project Management teams. Determine methods and procedures on new assignments
On-Site Project Support: Manage, lead, or supervise SCADA/ICS commissioning following industry standards; deliver hands-on commissioning or operations support for projects
Support project developers regarding SCADA control and DAS monitoring issues arising from the project development process. Provide cost estimates to support the development of new projects
Coordinate with the O&M team at project commissioning and close-out

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field, from an accredited university or college program of study and 6–8 years of experience in power systems SCADA, industrial automation and controls, and/or embedded systems is ideal; or master's degree and 4-5 years of experience
Experience desired in designing and deploying systems using SEL RTAC, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and implementing automation and monitoring of PV solar, battery energy storage systems, microgrids, renewable curtailment, volt/var control, load shedding, anti-islanding, and other custom logic
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
Ability to traverse project sites with varying terrain and weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
Occasional travel to project sites required
Preferred
GIAC-GDSA certification is recommended
(ISC)² CISSP certification is recommended
CCNA/CCNP certification is recommended
CompTIA Security+ certification is recommended
Safety training (OSHA 10-Hour certification or OSHA 30-hour certification)
