Nuclear Material Control and Accounting Manager
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Nuclear Material Control and Accounting (MC&A) Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing an MC&A program for their new medical isotope production facility. The role involves ensuring the proper use and documentation of Special Nuclear Material (SNM) and working closely with various teams to maintain compliance with regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities
Updating and implementing the MC&A program in accordance with the MC&A plan
Managing any exceptions to standard MC&A practices due to the unique nature of the SHINE systems
Ensuring that records are prepared and maintained of all SNM
Ensuring that all SNM items received, shipped, and inventoried are measured
Ensuring the SHINE process can be performed in accordance with the MC&A program
Working with other managers and technical staff to ensure they are cognizant of their MC&A-related responsibilities
Reviewing and concurring on all written procedures that may relate to MC&A activities as well as any revisions to those procedures
Assisting in the development of MC&A training and ensuring that individuals performing MC&A-related functions are trained and qualified
Identifying major MC&A measurement systems and measurement points and administering the MC&A measurement control program
Supervising the collection of data for the SNM physical inventory and ensuring that the data collected are complete and correct and submitted on time
Ensuring that MC&A reports and notifications required by the NRC are submitted within the required time
Preparing MC&A investigation reports of MC&A irregularities and informing all affected groups within the organization of recommended corrective actions
Performing periodic verification of the facility configuration as it relates to MC&A
Performing other duties as requested or assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or science-related field
A sound knowledge of statistics and measurement uncertainty as it relates to taking inventory of material, especially solutions
Experience in MC&A concepts including knowledge of applicable regulations in 10 CFR 74
Ability to understand the SHINE MC&A plan and update the necessary procedures to implement the plan
Ability to oversee multiple activities in an environment with changing priorities
Ability to develop and implement performance tests, performance management, self-assessments and validate program compliance
Understanding of mathematics for the calculation of inventories including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
Project Management and Leadership skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Prior experience in performing nuclear MC&A duties
