Crew Chief, Embraer (A&P)

Responsibilities
Be the technical expert and leader on our Embraer Team, supporting Legacy and Praetor airframes
Manage a crew of A&P Mechanics performing routine and heavy maintenance on Embraer corporate aircraft
Appraise, recommend salary and other status change, reward, recognize and discipline members of the crew
Assign work to crew members based upon scheduled outdates and the technical expertise of the various employees
Provide technical guidance to technicians on aircraft maintenance configurations, as well as service bulletins, directives, and enhancements
Monitor hours charged to a job to assure that costs are controlled and outdates met
Reviews employee time cards on a daily basis to verify accuracy of time charged to work orders
Review workbook for sign-offs and parts issues after departure, but prior to closing in the inspection department
Perform final “walk around” to ensure aircraft cleanliness and readiness for departure
Assure that crew members are well-trained on assigned aircraft, that they are scheduled for periodic technical training in-house or at designated off-site locations
Perform ‘hands-on’ maintenance as required to assure an on-time departure and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with other departments as needed to assure that customers have a positive experience at the facility
Actively work to simplify for efficiency, ease of work performance, quality, and turnaround time
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 3 years experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation servicing Embraer aircraft (Legacy/Praetor/Phenom)
Experience leading and/or supervising a crews of A&P Mechanics supporting Embraer Legacy, Praetor and/or Phenom models
Specialized certifications and/or OEM training relevant to Embraer corporate aircraft (i.e. CAE, Flight Safety, Embraer)
Ability to work outside of designated work hours, as well as weekends/overtime as needed
Valid FAA A&P License
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Preferred
A minimum of seven (7) years experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation working with Embraer aircraft
Proven ability to interact with customers, explain complex technical issues, and resolve customer concerns
Demonstrated ability to create strong morale and spirit in team; fosters open dialogue; ability to create a feeling of belonging in the team
Open to ideas and continuously looking for opportunities to improve work tasks, processes, and procedures
