The role involves hands-on training in delivering oral health care under the supervision of licensed dental professionals while serving a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities
Assist in or perform dental exams, cleanings, radiographs, restorations, and preventive services under supervision
Support patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
Document clinical findings and treatment plans in the Electronic Dental Record (EDR)
Comply with infection control, sterilization, and OSHA standards
Collaborate with integrated care teams (medical, behavioral health) when appropriate
Participate in case reviews, outreach events, or quality initiatives if assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited dental program (Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting, or DMD/DDS)
Third Street must have an affiliate agreement on file with the school
Seeking placement to complete clinical hours for academic credit or licensure
Interest in community dentistry and working with diverse populations
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills
CPR/BLS certification (as required by program)
Completes credentialing requirements within first 90-days of employment
