Responsibilities
Course development
Teaching courses
Designing and developing curriculum
Providing a systematic plan for delivering instruction
Evaluating student performance and advising students
Assists with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
Other job requirements include, but are not limited to, attention to work quality, details and deadlines; working with work-study students and supervising live work projects with students; and working with minimum supervision
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or an associate degree in automotive technology or a related field
Current ASE master automobile technician certification
Valid South Carolina driver's license
Submission of certifications with the application
Candidates without a degree must complete an associate degree in automotive technology within three (3) years of hire
Preferred
Two (2) years of teaching and work experience in the automotive technology career field
Documented electric vehicle (BEV or PHEVE) experience
Automatic transmission experience
Engine management and engine repair expertise
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of software applications
Excellent communication and customer service skills
