Responsibilities
Lead analytical initiatives for the Ads and Offers space, collaborating with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, and marketing to drive strategy and priorities
Design, implement, and analyze experiments within the Uber Eats and Uber Rides apps
Perform analytical deep dives to understand product performance and to identify improvement opportunities
Contribute to the development and refinement of scalable data science tools and methodologies
Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical leaders to influence decisions and product direction
Qualification
Required
A degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
4+ years of relevant industry experience as a Data Scientist, Applied Scientist, or equivalent (2+ years if holding a Ph.D.)
Experience in experimental design and analysis
Strong analytical skills, with experience extracting user behavior insights from large datasets
Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, optimization, economics, and analytics
Proficiency with tools such as Python or R for exploratory data analysis and modeling
Preferred
5+ years of relevant industry experience as a Data Scientist, Applied Scientist, or equivalent
Proficiency in SQL
Experience in algorithm prototyping and development
Exceptional communication skills across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
