Intern/Surface Scientist

Responsibilities
Partner with Surface Scientists to evaluate and improve sample preparation and analysis techniques
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to analyze data that may drive process improvements
Build and improve upon techniques and identify new, creative and innovative ways to use existing tools
Actively participate in technical meetings to identify new opportunities or novel, sophisticated approaches
Document the results of scientific research through reports and presentations
Qualification
Required
Proactive and passionate about learning (training and coursework)
Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including:
XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy)
SIMS (Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry)
Electrical Characterization Techniques
Atom Probe Tomography (APT)
Dual Beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB)
Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
Excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills
Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
