Interventional Vascular Technologist
Cleveland Clinic is a leading healthcare organization, and they are seeking an Interventional Vascular Technologist to join their Mercy Hospital team. The role involves acquiring imaging and post-processing images while ensuring patient safety and comfort during interventional procedures.

Responsibilities
Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol
Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams
Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects
Position patients to obtain radiographic exposure
Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information
Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair
Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing
Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
Basic Life Support certification
Preferred
One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)
Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy
Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams
Experience in high volume angiography department
