Responsibilities

Optimize the performance of OCI’s critical components, internal tools, and applications
Drive design of major service components, working with engineering managers and TPMs
Provide direct guidance to more junior team members
Balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements
Instill a culture of high quality and customer focus

Required

Experience with the design of major features and launching them into production
Built and operated high-scale public cloud services
Deep understanding of control plane architecture
Ability to work independently on most projects and tasks
Extend technical leadership to development teams
Drive design of major service components
Work with engineering managers and TPMs
Provide direct guidance to more junior team members
Ability to go from high level system design to hands-on prototyping
Write architectural documentation and drive engineering peer reviews
Conduct code reviews and project bootstrapping
Balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements
Motivate teams to make both process and service improvements
Ability to automate and instrument services
Understand operational excellence and instill a culture of high quality and customer focus
