Electrical Project Engineer II

The Electrical Project Engineer II will perform engineering design tasks for projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with industry standards while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Responsible for project and program designs, concepts, and standards under the supervision of the Engineer of Record from concept through completion
Perform calculations and design engineering systems in collaboration with internal staff
Prepare advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules
Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for conformance to plan documents and project specifications
Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs for projects as directed
Apply local, state, and federal regulations
Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into the project designs
Visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress
Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
Support engineers and project managers in daily planning, coordination, and completion of projects
Review work for technical accuracy and completeness prior to QA / QC review
Maintains a proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations
Attend internal and external meetings
Other project duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and 7+ years of relevant experience
Professional Engineering license (PE) required
Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board required
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software as required
