Responsibilities
Rotations – Periodic rotations between product groups provides broad understanding and knowledge of the market and Belvedere’s trading strategies
Trade analysis – Gain an understanding of our trading systems and tools, learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of our trading, and provide feedback to continuously improve
Improve trading systems – Collaborate with technology team members to provide iterative improvements to our proprietary trading software
Research – Participate in quantitative research and the application of quantitative strategies while learning concepts behind our core market making operations
Daily trading activities – Execute trades over multiple assets and exchanges, leveraging Belvedere’s proprietary platform for optimal performance
Desk strategy – Engage in daily collaborative strategy adjustments with your team to adapt to market dynamics
Development projects – Lead and participate in specific quantitative development projects that enhance trader-centric technologies
Data Analysis – Analyze extensive datasets to extract insights that bolster our trading strategies
Training – Benefit from our industry-leading BTU program, complemented by ongoing practical training within our trading operations, covering a spectrum from foundational knowledge to advanced proprietary concepts
Collaborate with leadership – This position gives direct access to Position Managers and software development Team Leads to complete their broad training
Qualification
Required
Ability to live in or relocate to Chicago or Boulder
Graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 2026 (start date in spring or fall 2026)
Communication – We need people who can speak confidently and concisely, especially when the stakes are high
Team player – Trading and development is not an isolated activity at Belvedere, so great candidates will have demonstrated success in team-based environments
Intellectually curious – A desire to learn from your peers and seek a deep understanding of complex problems will go a long way
Analytical – We're looking for quantitative thinkers and master problem-solvers with strong data analysis skills
Core development skills – You will need some training or a demonstrated ability to learn programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python
For our trading positions and certain engineering roles, the SIE and Series 57 licenses are required; Belvedere Trading will provide comprehensive study materials and allocate dedicated time during the onboarding process to ensure your success in obtaining these certifications
Preferred
Knowledge of the financial markets and trading industry isn't required, but it is a plus!
