Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and develop engineering solutions for customer missions
Lead and support an engineering team in delivering customer-focused solutions
Create and complete finite element models using loads data from original equipment manufacturers or structural test fixtures
Merge finite element modeling and digital engineering to create an airframe structural technical plan
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience with finite element modeling using FEMAP or Patran
Experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools, Catia, or SolidWorks
Ability to support large-scale projects
Ability to create or complete finite element models using loads data obtained from the original equipment manufacturer or data obtained from structural test fixtures
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering and 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, or Master's degree in an engineering field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering and 8+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
Preferred
Ability to create CAD designs of aircraft primary or secondary structural assemblies, installations, and detail parts
Top Secret clearance
Master's degree in ME, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree in ME, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering a plus
