Responsibilities

Lead preparation of various tax returns including individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, trust, estate, etc. for clients in a variety of industries

Demonstrate advanced technical aptitude of taxation and can handle complex returns and projects with confidence

Utilize analytical and decision-making skills to solve complex technical issues

Review the work of less experienced associates and provide guidance/mentorship to assist them in developing technical skills

Build strong client relationships and ensure client needs are being met

Maintain timely and accurate communication with team and clients to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverables

Ability to train new employees on firm technology, processes and procedures

Present new ideas and improvements for ways of performing tasks in order to achieve firm and departmental goals

Seek opportunities to participate in practice development to build network of referral sources

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Minimum of 3 years' experience in domestic tax at public accounting firm

Ability to manage people with differing personalities to meet the needs of the firm and clients

Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to train interns and associates

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, but also in a team environment

Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms

Ability to manage multiple projects/clients and deadlines

Preferred

CPA License preferred but not required

Willingness to pursue Master's Degree in Taxation or Master's Degree in Accounting

CCH Axcess software experience a plus
