Responsibilities

Assists in performance of procedures for the surgical patient in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures
Assists in providing intraoperative care
Provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safely and adequate manner
Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability
Participates in ongoing educational activities
Completes assigned goals

Qualification

Surgical Technologist experienceNational certificationBLS certificationComputer literacyEffective communication

Required

Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience in an operating room or Certification through an approved accreditation body as required by the state in which services are rendered
Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency
Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties
20 Hours of continuing education annually as required to maintain certification based on state laws
Computer literacy
Be a member of a professional organization
Hold current national certification through appropriate/approved accreditation body as required by state where services are rendered
BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
