Engineering Intern
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is the industry’s leading producer of pressure-treated lumber products. They are seeking an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2026 to gain valuable real-world experience through data collection, analysis, and product design assistance.

Responsibilities
Performing data collection and analysis
Generating reports based on results
Assisting in designing new products, developing stereotypes, and testing existing products for safety or quality issues
Using engineering software to model data or suggest solutions
Communicating with supervisors or customers to gather info about project requirements or to report progress on a project
Performing engineering calculations, including working with computer-aided design (CAD) tools to design products
Qualification
Required
Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater
Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
