The role involves handling legal documentation, lease management, compliance, tenant relations, and property acquisitions.

Responsibilities
Draft, review, and revise leases, contracts, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research on property management laws and regulations
Prepare legal memoranda and reports
Review and ensure the accuracy of lease agreements
Assist in the negotiation and preparation of lease renewals and amendments
Maintain and organize lease files and records
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
Monitor and manage potential legal risks and liabilities
Assist in resolving tenant disputes and complaints
Coordinate with property managers to handle eviction processes and other tenant-related legal matters
Provide legal support during tenant litigation
Support the legal aspects of property acquisitions and dispositions
Assist in conducting due diligence for property transactions
Prepare and review closing documents
Maintain and organize legal files and records
Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the General Counsel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
Paralegal certification from an accredited institution
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local property management laws and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Experience with property management software
Familiarity with eviction processes and tenant litigation
Strong negotiation skills
